Celtic Gaul. Baiocassi. EL Stater (20 mm, 6.61 g), 2nd-1st century BC. Stater,
'au sanglier' and 'au profil géométrique' type. Obv. Celticized male head to
right, surmounted by a boar. Rev. Devolved charioteer, driving a cart
drawn by a centaur to right, holding reins in his right hand and a long
branch ending in a vexillum-like banner in his left; below, boar to
right. DT 2264; LT 6978.
Light scratches on the obverse, otherwise, very
fine.
