eAuction #51 - Literature sale III, Lot 210. Estimate: CHF 10.00
Vinchon, Jean. Paris, 25-26 February 1980. Monnaies de
Collection, Cachets, Cylindres, Intailles, Bijoux. 701 lots, 1 plate plus
illustrations throughout. Additional flyer soliciting consignments and a 6 page
brochure tipped in representing “Superbes bijoux d’or et numismatique Hebraique
de la collection Child B. Meyer”, lots A-I. Prices realized list. Glossy
illustrated card covers, slightly discoloured. Very Good.
A note from BCD: There are some decent Greek and Roman but nothing
extraordinary whereas Mesopotamian seals and ancient jewellery seem to be the
more interesting part of the sale. The brochure illustrates a magnificent
necklace with a gold octodrachm of Arsinoe II and seven rare Jewish coins, to
be sold together with the rest of the catalogue material.
