eAuction #51 - Literature sale III, Lot 189. Estimate: CHF 10.00
Sternberg, Frank. Zurich, 30 November-1 December 1973. Römische Münzen. Numismatische Literatur. 600 lots, 24 + 1 colour plates. Estimates sheet and
prices realized list. Illustrated card covers as issued. Near Fine.
Spring 865
A note from BCD: The Sternberg auction catalogues are generally
underappreciated amongst the younger generations of ancient coin collectors.
Frank Sternberg was, however, a very meticulous dealer who spared no effort to
ensure that his catalogues would be as accurate and as presentable as possible.
This is his first auction, entirely composed of Roman coins, most of them with
impressive pedigrees.
