Hadrianus (117-138 AE). AE Semis (20 mm, 4.72 g), Rome, for
circulation in Syria, c. 125-128. Obv. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, Laureate, draped
and cuirassed bust to right, seen from behind. Rev. COS III /
S C, Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory in her right hand and
long scepter in her left. BMC 1356; RIC II.3 760; Strack 626.
Dark patina. About extremely fine.
