151/152. Obv. IMP CAES T AEL HADR ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P, Laureate head to right. Rev. TR POT XV COS IIII / PIETAS, Pietas
standing front, head to right, holding hind by the fore-legs with her
right hand and plate with fruits in her left; to right, altar. BMC 754; RIC 217.
Old cabinet tone and about extremely fine.
From the Armin Mathis Collection, purchased privately from Frank Sternberg AG, Zurich, in 1984, and from the Dr. A. Voirol Collection (hors catalogue, but with Dr. Voirol's hand written ticket enclosed), purchased from Münzen und Medaillen AG, Basel, in 1946.
