Nero (54-68 AD). AE Sestertius (36 mm, 27.24 g), Lugdunum, c. 65. Obv. NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P, Laureate head to right; [globe] at point of neck. Rev. ROMA / S - C, Roma seated
left on cuirass and on pile of round shields, holding Victory in her
right hand and parazonium in her left. BMC 324; RIC 398.
Struck on a broad flan. Dark green patina somewhat smoothed, very fine.
