City Commemorative. AE Nummus (19 mm, 2.65 g), struck under Constantine I (306-337 AD). Siscia, 334-335.
Obv. CONSTANTINOPOLIS, Laureate and helmeted bust of Constantinopolis to left, wearing imperial mantle and holding sceptre.
Rev. Victory standing to left, foot on prow, holding transverse sceptre and resting hand on shield; •BSIS• in exergue.
RIC 241.

Dark patina. Extremely fine.

From the Armin Mathis Collection, privately purchased from Bank Leu AG, Zurich, in 1983.
